FRANCESVILLE - Richard L. Reedy, 78, lifelong farmer of Francesville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 9.
He was born Jan. 21, 1944 in Harwood, MO, to the late Walter and Jennie Curry Reedy.

He is survived by: Rick (Kathy) Reedy, Denham, Son Aaron Reedy, Winamac, Son Mark Reedy, Lafayette, Son Amber (Joe) Heigl, Lafayette, Daughter Derek Reedy, Muncie, Son 8 Grandchildren 6 Great-Grandchildren Neva Timbers, Sister Fred Reedy, Brother Several Nieces and Nephews
Preceded in death by: Daniel J. Reedy, Grandson Lewis E. Reedy, Brother Lois A. Dade, Sister
Mr. Reedy moved to the area in the early 1970s to work for Christian Welker and worked for Welker Farms for over 40 years. He was a very hard worker who enjoyed visiting with others and had friends all over.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 18, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 19, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roseland Cemetery in Francesville.

Harold D. Johnston Sr.
October 10, 1944 to February 4, 2022
ROYAL CENTER - Harold D. Johnston Sr., 77, of Star City passed away unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 4, at his home.
Born on Oct. 10, 1944 in Ora, he was the son of the late Donald and Nancy Crabb Johnston.

Survivors include his sons Jeff (Chris) Johnston of Portage and Douglas (Marcia) Johnston of Graham, N. C.; grandchildren Benjamin Johnston, Sarah Steffaniak, Hannah Zbinden, Avery Johnston and Zoe Johnston; and great-grandchildren Micah, Samson, Gabriel, Noelle and Ezra. He is also survived by brothers and sisters Larry Johnston of Texas, Dennis (Ann) Johnston of Kokomo, Terry (Linda) Johnston of Culver, James (Sandy) Johnston of Winamac, Janet (Tim) Harshman of Logansport, Linda Dodson of Rochester, Wanda Miller of Macy and Wilma (Rick) Cole of Plymouth.
He was also preceded in death by his son Harold D. Johnston Jr., brother Garry Johnston, sister Sandra Gibbons and aunt Bonnie Farrer.
Mr. Johnston retired from Winamac Coil Spring in Kewanna. He also formerly worked at Wilson Foods in Logansport and had also farmed. He was a member of Baptist Christian Church in Royal Center.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday, Feb. 12, at Rans Funeral Homes, Harrison Chapel, Royal Center. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon, Saturday, at the funeral home with Pastor Joel Sharp officiating. Burial will be at Citizens I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Kewanna.

MEDARYVILLE - Brenda Neeley Clark, 61, of Knoxville, TN (formerly of Medaryville) passed away Monday, Jan. 31.
She was born Aug. 4, 1960 in Rensselaer to the late Wayne and Gertrude Patrick Neeley. She attended West Central High School in Francesville. She married Neil Clark. He survives.

Mrs. Clark was a proud homemaker. She loved her family very much and will be deeply missed.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 21, at White Post Cemetery in Medaryville. Burial will follow at the cemetery.

She was born Feb. 12, 1982 in Waukegan, IL to Randy and Geneva Lou Harris Schwartz.

July 17, 1980 to January 28, 2022
ROYAL CENTER - Dwayne “Tootie” Howard Jr., 41, of Winamac passed away unexpectedly Friday, Jan. 28, at his residence.
He was born July 17, 1980 in Knox.
Survivors include his parents Sandy and Steve Craig of Winamac; son Chance Howard of Kentucky; grandparents Kathleen Arnett of Kentucky and Art and Jeanette Fox of Winamac; brother Jake Craig of Tennessee; and sister Kandice Craig of South Bend. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Howard was formerly employed at S & S Precast in Winamac. He enjoyed playing sports with his nephews and fishing.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Ray Patton
April 17, 1933 to January 26, 2022
FRANCESVILLE - Ray Patton, 88, Rensselaer, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, at his home.
He was born April 17, 1933 in Salyersville, KY to the late Joe and Maggie Howard Patton. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957. He married Tennie Conley on Jan. 6, 1959 in Rensselaer. She died April 13, 2005.

Mr. Patton attended Teaberry Hills Estates Church in Medaryville. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union. He enjoyed listening to Blue Grass music, hunting, trapping and fishing. He also liked recycling.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Monday, Jan. 31, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon, Monday with Rev. Elmer Conley officiating. Burial will be at Independence Cemetery in Medaryville. The American Legion will conduct military graveside services.

Rickey D. Hinman
June 8, 1954 to January 26, 2022
MEDARYVILLE - Rickey Dale Hinman, 67, of Medaryville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, at his home.
He was born June 8, 1954 in Knox, to the late John and Joan Joseph Hinman. He served in the U.S. Army, stateside, during the Vietnam War. He married Paula Friga on June 8, 2009 in Winamac. She survives.

Mr. Hinman was a retired truck driver, having been an owner-operator for over 20 years. He enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, as well as watching movies and NASCAR. He was an avid Dale Earnhart Sr. fan. He loved his family very much.
