This Month
- The Sons of American Legion Post 96 in Medaryville meet at 1 p.m., the first Sunday of every month. The Post 96 Legion members meet at 2 p.m.
- The Salvation Army's service representative for Pulaski County visits on the first and second Mondays of each month from 9 to 11 a.m., at the Church of the Nazarene, Winamac. Please enter through the ramp doors and proceed to the gym. Contact number is 574-933-1537.

- The Winamac Town Council will meet in regular session at 6 p.m., at the municipal utilities complex at 623 W. 11th St., Winamac.

- The Pulaski County Human Services Board will meet at 10:30 a.m., at 115 W. Pearl St., Winamac.
- Senior Citizens are invited to attend a “Prime Time” meal/program from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (third Thursdays), at the Winamac Church of the Nazarene. The event offers fellowship with those from all denominations of churches, plus education, activities and spiritual growth for those age 50 and older. There is no cost. The event is organized by the Winamac Church of the Nazarene and Hickory Creek of Winamac.
- The Pulaski County Historical Society board will meet at 6 p.m., at the County History Museum in Winamac. All interested persons are welcome to attend.
Saturday, December 21
- The Star City United Methodist Church Food Pantry is open from 10 to 11 a.m., every third Saturday of the month for those who live in Pulaski County. Proper ID is required. Please provide your own boxes and baskets for the items.
- The VFW Post 1728 round-table meeting will be at 7 p.m. (fourth Thursday).

Sundays
- The Knights of Columbus, Winamac, holds Bingo every Sunday evening. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and games start at 6:30. Progressive colossal cash board played every time. The KoC Hall is located on CR 50 N.

- The Neighbor-to-Neighbor Food Pantry, operated by the Winamac Church of the Nazarene, is open Mondays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring a box or laundry basket, wear a mask and wait in your vehicle. Tuesdays
- The Winamac Kiwanis Club meets at 12 noon, at Celebration Station (Opera House), Winamac.

Wednesdays

Pulaski County Human Services
- The Pulaski County Human Services Food Pantry hours are 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday for curbside pickup. Call 574-946-6500. To schedule pickup; or come to 115 W Pearl St., Winamac and ring bell.
- Energy Assistance Program, rent and other assistance applications are available at Pulaski County Human Services. Contact at 574-946-6500.
- Arrowhead Country Public Transit Pulaski County Human Services operates 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Call 575-946-6500.

Pulaski Memorial Hospital
- Pulaski Memorial Hospital is a Perminate Fitting Station and can check to make sure car seats are installed properly, along with assisting those in need of getting car seats.
- The Pulaski Memorial Hospital Auxiliary has volunteer openings for both men and women. Areas of service include Reception Desk, Gift Shop, Hostess Program and Patients Services. For more information call 574-946-2100.
- If any residents are interested in attending smoking cessation classes hosted by Pulaski Memorial Hospital, please call 574-946-2132.
- Pulaski Memorial Hospital has launched its new speaker’s bureau, complete with Power Point presentations. This is a free service to any civic, club or church organizations. • The Pulaski County Health Department conducts free lead screening/hemoglobin testing for those students who need it to enroll in Head Start, or anyone else who needs to be tested. Call 574-946-6-80 for an appointment, or for more information.
• Head Start offers free, quality preschool services in Winamac Schools for children ages 3 to 5 whose families qualify financially. Fall enrollment is underway. Call 574-946-4211 to schedule an appointment.
• Veterans and enlisted members of the U.S. military services, National Guard and reserves are eligible to join the American Legion Post. 71, Winamac. For information, call 574-946-4443.
• Healthy Families is a free voluntary family support program for new or expecting parents designed to promote the best family foundation and the best start for new baby, until age 3. In home appointments can be scheduled before baby arrives or before baby is 3 months old. Families must live in Pulaski County and meet certain requirements. Call 574-964-6017 ext. 14.
• The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office offers a free 911 education program to schools, preschools, churches and other groups to help people of all ages learn when to call 911, what to do when the operator answers, what questions the operator will ask and what people can do to make 911 calls more effective for them.
