Phyllis Maxine Kellogg
February 21, 1921 to February 18, 2010
FRANCESVILLE - Phyllis "Maxine" Kellogg, 88, of 1309 E. Grace Street, Rensselaer, passed away at 6:35 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 18, at Rensselaer Care Center, Rensselaer.
She was born Fe. 25, 1921, in Lafayette, to Lynn and Alta Erickson Rainier. She married Jack L. Kellogg on Dec. 28, 1940 in Brookston. He died on Oct. 9, 2006.

Mrs. Kellogg grew up in Brookston, but lived most of her life in Monon. She was a 1939 graduate of Brookston High School and attended Hanover College. She was a member of the Monon United Methodist Church, Monon. She was also a member of the Phi-Mu Sorority, the Current Literature Club in Monon and the Order of Eastern Star in Wolcott. She was a former member of the Monon Public Library Board and the Bridge Club in Monon.
Friends may call after 11 a.m., Sunday, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., (Sunday, Feb. 21) at the funeral home with Pastor Russ Alley officiating. Burial will be in the Bedford Cemetery, Monon.
Memorial donations may be given to the Monon United Methodist Church or the Monon Public Library.
Mary Ann Weaver
January 1, 1932 to February 18, 2010
WINAMAC - Mary Ann Weaver, 78, of 514 S. Market St., Winamac, passed away at 10:29 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 18, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Hobart.
She was born Jan. 1, 1932, in Lakeside, to Ralph and Mertie Kestle Thompson. She married Walter J. Weaver on July 7, 1952, in Winamac. He passed away on Feb. 8, 2008.

Mrs. Weaver had served as deputy auditor in the Pulaski County Auditors office for 17 years. She worked as an absentee registrar for the Pulaski County Election Board for many years. She was a member of the Pulaski County Republican Womens Club and was active in the Red Hat Society.
Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m., Sunday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeal service will be at 11 a.m., Monday (Feb. 22), at the funeral home with Rev. Edward Clark officiating. Burial will be in McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac.
Memorial donations may be given to the Local Red Hat Society.
Jesus Martinez Sr.
September 17, 1933 to February 18, 2010
MEDARYVILLE - Jesus Martinez Sr., 76, of 1881 N. Owens Lane, Medaryville, passed away at 6:05 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 18, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 17, 1933, in Brackettville, TX, to Jesus and Maria Meza Martinez . He married Caroline Cruz on May 29, 1956, in Chicago. She died on Oct. 26, 2002.

Mr. Martinez was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church and the American Legion, both of Medaryville, and the VFW in Chicago Heights, IL. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed in Germany where he received the Purple Heart Award. While in the military he was an engineer. He retired from Ford Motor Company, Chicago Heights, IL, after 35 years of service.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel Medaryville.The rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. The funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday (Feb. 23), at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Medaryville, with Rev. Paul White officiating. Burial will be in St. Henry's Cemetery, Medaryville. The American Legion will conduct military graveside services.
Memorial donations may be given to St. Henry's Catholic Church for Mass intentions.
Tom Bly Sutton

WINAMAC - Tom Bly Sutton, 56, 3236 E. 75 S., Albion (formerly of Winamac), died at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 16, at his residence.
He was born June 16, 1953, in Tipton, to Jack A. and Ruth M. Case Sutton.

Mr. Sutton was the property manager at Chain O' Lakes State Park, Albion, since April 2009. He had been property manager at Tippecanoe River State Park, Winamac, since 1985, where he previously served as assistant property manager. He he had also been property manager at Shakamak State Park, Jasonville, IN, in 1993-94. He had been named assistant property manager of the year and property manager of the year by the Indiana Department Of Natural Resources.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagle's Lodge, Winamac. He was a native of Kokomo and graduated from Taylor High School and Indiana University.
Friends may call after 12 noon, Saturday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac.. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2 p.m., (Saturday, Feb. 20), at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be given to the Nature Conservancy.
Judy Ann Roby
January 10, 1950 to February 15, 2010
ARGOS - Judy Ann (Livingston) Roby, 60, of 11081 W. 700 North, Culver, passed away at 5:58 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, following a sudden illness.
She was born Jan. 10, 1950 in Anderson to Carl and Betty (Wilson) Livingston. She married Stephan G. Roby on Aug. 17, 1968 in Anderson. He survives.
Also surviving are daughter, Rene Burton, Kewanna; her mother, Betty King, Anderson; two sisters, Diana Scott, Fortville, and Carol Gerard, Anderson; a brother, Dan Livingston, Mount Summit, and granddaughter Felicia, Kewanna. She was preceded in death by her father, and a daughter, Amanda Roby.
Mrs. Roby graduated from Highland High School in Anderson in 1968. She had lived in Fulton County and the Culver community since 1987, coming from Alexandria, Ind. She worked for the Pulaski County Journal for several years, and she and her husband were actively involved at the Culver Farmer’s Market; and the following associations: Midwest Drovers, Sweet Sorghum Growers, and Michiana Bee Keepers.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 18), at Leiters Ford Cemetery, with the Pastor Bill Guerin of Living Water in Winamac officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, Utah, 84741-5000.

Julia Ruth Myers Liebert
November 15, 1914 to February 10, 2010
FRANCESVILLE - Julia Ruth Myers Liebert, 95, Winston Salem, NC, formerly of Francesville, passed away Feb. 10, in Winston Salem.
She was was born Nov. 15, 1914, in Francesville, to Roy and Edith Myers. She married Joseph Liebert in Chicago, on June 30, 1949.
She is survived by her two children, Stephen Myers Liebert, and Julie Liebert Dornberger, both of Winston Salem. In addition to her immediate family, including her grandson, John Zachary Dornberger and wife Melissa, she is survived by eight siblings, Mabel Brown, Monon, Alyce Onken, Francesville, Virgil (Rachel) Myers, Francesville, Gertrude Godbout, Manchester, NH, Jeanne Hawn, Lakewood, CO, Maudelene Allyn, San Antonio, TX, Norma (John) Hammel, Angola, and Donald Myers, Francesville, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her infant brother, Stanley, and her husband, Joseph Liebert.
Mrs. Liebert was an accomplished painter.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at 10 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life memorial service Saturday (Feb. 27) at 11 a.m., at First Christian Church, 192 E. Lyman Avenue, Francesville, with Pastor Jim Ketchen officiating. Burial will be at the Ponchatoula Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville, is in charge of the arrangements.
