Keith B. Salrin

MEDARYVILLE - Keith B. "Frog" Salrin, 77, of Guymon, OK (formerly of Medaryville) passed away Friday, Sept. 20, at his home.
He was born March 12, 1936 in Medaryville to the late Orvis and Mary Alice Walter Salrin.

Mr. Salrin grew up in Medaryville and graduated with the Medaryville High School Class of 1954. He served in the U.S. Army Special Forces from 1954 to 1964, with stints in Korea and Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge, he worked in Gary in the automobile manufacturing industry, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Methodist Church, VFW, American Legion, and 40/8 Group. In October 2012 he moved to Guymon from Medaryville to be near his family.
A graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, at White Post Cemetery, Medaryville, with Rev. Tom Dewlen officiating. The American Legion and VFW will conduct military graveside services. Burial of cremated remains will follow the services.
Local arrangements have been entrusted to Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Medaryville.
John W. Decker
November 12, 1958 to September 17, 2013
KNOX - John W. Decker, 54, of Monterey, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 17.
He was born Nov. 12, 1958 in Knox.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Decker of Monterey, his mother, Gerry Kitchen of Argos, children, Aaron Decker of Plymouth, Reana Jackson (Drew) of Plymouth, and Stacy Schlegal (Jamie) of Nappanee, brothers and sisters, Diane Lindh of Pennesylvania, Jimmy Decker of Plymouth, Joe Decker of Plymouth, Mary Cincush (Jim) of Valparaiso, and Debbie Boswell of Rochester, and 4 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Decker.
Private family services were held.
M.C. Smith Funeral Home, Knox, handled arrangements.
Genevieve O. Davis
September 30, 1926 to September 19, 2013
WINAMAC - Genevieve O. Davis, 86, of Winamac, passed away Thursday, Sept. 19, at St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born Sept. 30, 1926, at Bruce Lake, to John and Frances Lesniak Ziemba. She married Robert P. Davis on Oct. 30, 1948, in St. Peter's Catholic Church, Winamac.

Mrs. Davis was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Winamac. During her lifetime she enjoyed her family and extended relatives, many friends and travel opportunities. She completed her life surrounded by the company of her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m., followed by the scriptural wake service. The funeral mass will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday (Sept. 24), at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Winamac, with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Winamac.
Memorial donaions may be given to St. Vincent's Hospital Foundation, Indianapolis.

WINAMAC - Frederick M. Gilsinger, 88, of Kewanna, passed away at 3:55 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Creasy Springs Health Campus, Lafayette.
He was born on March 13, 1925 in Chicago. He married Jessie Ruth Morgan in April 1946. She preceded him in death on April 18, 1996.

Mr. Gilsinger was a 1943 graduate of Winamac High School. He was a second lieutenant and served as a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Monterey. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6:30 p.m., Sunday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. A scriptural wake service will follow at 6:30 p.m. The funeral mass will be at 10 a.m., Monday (Sept. 23), at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Monterey, with Rev. Bert Woolson officiating.
Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville.
Memorial donations may be given to St. Anne's Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Nancy A. Fox
January 5, 1954 to September 13, 2013
ROYAL CENTER - Nancy Ann Fox, 59, of Royal Center passed away at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 13, at St. Vincent’s Hospice in Indianapolis surrounded by her family.
Born on Jan. 5, 1954 in Winamac, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Rosemary (Stamer) Busch. On Sept. 20, 1986 she married Douglas F. Fox. He survives.
Also surviving are daughter, Erica S. Field (Mark) of Kewanna, son, Matthew D. Fox of Royal Center, daughter Katy R. Fox of Royal Center and son, Ross W. Fox of Royal Center; sisters, Linda Novak (Bruce) of Ft. Wayne, Bonnie Myer (Chuck) of Brookston, Sandy Burns ( Ralph) of Rockville, Sheryl Fritz (Fred) of Francesville, Patty Pfledderer (Denny) of Francesville, and Diane Cervenka (Mark) of Francesville, and grandchildren, Jadyn Field and Ali Field both of Kewanna.
Mrs. Fox was a 1972 West Central High School graduate. She was a lifelong homemaker and farmwife. She attended All Saints Catholic Church and she enjoyed the outdoors, attending and helping with various sporting events and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel. A mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday (Sept.ember 17), at All Saints Catholic Church in Logansport with Father Dominic Petan officiating.
Burial will be at St. James Salem Cemetery in Francesville.

WINAMAC - Thomas W. Crissinger, 79, Star City, passed away at 8:30 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 15, in the Pulaski Health Care Center, Winamac.
He was born March 21, 1934, in Pulaski, to the late William Ora and Rosa Crist Crissinger. He married Arvilla A. Rater on Dec. 3, 1954, in Jeffersonville. She survives.

Mr. Crissinger farmed for 15 years, drove a semi truck for 35 years, and was a millwright from 1989 until his retirement. He was a member of Millwrights Union Local 1029. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Denham. He loved to sing at church. He was an avid NASCAR and dirt track racing fan. He formerly raced at Shady Hill Raceway for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a very generous person who was always helping people. He loved working on old tractors, fishing, and floating down the river with his family.
No services will be held. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Frain Mortuary, Winamac.
Memorial donations may be given to the First Baptist Church, Denham.

WINAMAC - Lee Winfield Bailey, 71, of Star City, passed away at 3:04 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 8, at Doctors Hospital in Breman.
He was born Jan. 8, 1942, in Flint, MI, to the late Clayton and Ann Slocum Bailey. He married Wanda L. Schwartz on Jan. 3, 1963 in Lake Station, IN. She survives.
