“We are incredibly grateful for the dedicated service of Sue Fox, who’s held the position since 2016, and we look forward to Marsha Teztloff serving in this role,” said party chairman Kelly Gaumer.
Tetzloff was the only candidate who filed to fill the recorder vacancy at the Dec. 2 caucus in Winamac.
She began working in the county recorder's office under Jean Parish on Jan. 1, 1997, and has served in the first deputy position since that time. She has worked with former recorders Lynette Wilder and Christi Hoffa, as well as Fox, whom she trained when they were elected to the office.
“In the office, we are currently doing back indexing of the scanned deed and miscellaneous books in the office,” Tetzloff said. “Currently, we have indexed deeds back to 1932 and miscellaneous back to 1982. Daily in the office, we record, index, and scan documents submitted by taxpayers, which include deeds, mortgages, mortgage-related documents, liens, surveys, and miscellaneous documents, plus answer taxpayer's questions.
She was raised in Pulaski County by Ralph and Mary Lou Thomas, west of Pulaski, and graduated from Winamac Community High School in 1980. She has two children, Bob Tetzloff and Lori (Casey) Fisher, along with twin grandchildren.
