WINAMAC - Albert W. Ingham, 87, of Streamwood, IL died at 3:25 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, at the Lexington Nursing Home in Steamwood, IL. Phyllis T. FoergMarch 21, 1933 to April 1, 2013 WINAMAC - Phyllis T. Foerg, 80, Star City, passed away at 5:53 p.m., Monday, April 1, at Pulaski Health Care Center, Winamac. She was born March 21, 1933, in Headlee, IN, to the late Isadore V. and Gloria Snow Roth. She married Richard J. "Bosco" Foerg on Sept. 26, 1953, in Pulaski. He passed away on Feb. 14, 2005.
Preceded in death by: Mrs. Foerg was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pulaski, and the Christian Mothers. She served for many years as the church organist and served in many capacities with the church. She enjoyed basket making, sewing, painting, woodcrafts, doll houses, gardening, fishing, birdwatching, and baking. She used to attend craft shows around the area as a vendor selling her crafts. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to volunteer with the Cass County Mental Health Association. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at Frain Mortuary. A scriptural wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m., at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a,n,m Friday (April 5), at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pulaski, with Rev. Ronald Schiml and Rev. Martin Sandhage officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery South, Pulaski. Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor's choice. Helen M. StigallMay 2,1921 to Marcy 31, 2013 WINAMAC - Helen Mae Stigall, 91, of Winamac, passed away at 1:45 p.m., Sunday, March 31, in Oak Grove Christian Retirement Village, DeMotte. She was born May 2, 1921, in Hammond, to the late Lee and Lily Cloud Goble. She married Maynard Lee Pittser. He passed away in February 1946. She was then married on Dec. 29, 1951, in Hammond, to Kenneth Fount Stigall. He passed away on Nov. 29, 2010.
Preceded in death by: Mrs. Stigall was a former resident of Hammond where she was a member of the Hammond First Church of the Nazarene. She was also a member of the Winamac Church of the Nazarene. She was a member of the Pulaski Memorial Hospital Auxillary and volunteered as a Pink Lady at the hospital. She was very committed to helping others. She loved her God and was a committed wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. While residing in Hammond, she worked for Fuller Brush Co. and had been a Union Meat Cutter for Howard's and Sons Meats. Friends may call after 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Frain Mortuary. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., (Wednesday, April 3), at the funeral home, with Rev. Gregory Chambers officiating. Private burial will be in Paul's Chapel Cemetery, Winamac. Memorial donations may be given to Oak Grove Christian Retirment Village. Daniel J. ReedyJanuary 27, 1991 to March 28, 2013 WINAMAC - Daniel J. Reedy, 22, of Winamac, passed away at 1:45 a.m., Thursday, March 28, at the IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, after an extended battle with Cystic Fibrosis. He was born Jan. 27, 1991 in Winamac.
Mr. Reedy graduated from Winamac Community High School in 2009. He enjoyed playing darts, and mudding in his Ford. He liked to hang out with his friends and live life to the fullest. He was a true farmboy at heart. He loved to spend time farming with his Papaw and fixing the barn if it needed fixing. He also loved to fish with his Gramps. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m., Friday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday (March 30) at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Pilger officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion-Franklin Township Cemetery, Winamac. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in memory of Danny. Agnes M. KlineMay 3, 1926 to March 18, 2013 KEWANNA - Agnes M. Kline, 86 of Monterey, passed away at 4:34 p.m., Monday, March 18, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth. Born May 3, 1926 in Culver, she was the daughter of the late Clurel and Nellie (Shively) Mikesell. On Dec. 15, 1946, she married Marion F. Kline. He preceded in death on Dec. 24, 1997.
Mrs. Kline was a 1945 Leiters Ford High School graduate. She was a homemaker and beautician. She was a former member of Zion Gospel Chapel in Kewanna. She attended Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church at Lake Bruce. She was also a member of NBC Extension Homemakers, Fulton County Farm Bureau and Gideon’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed doing embroidery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Friday (March 22). Burial will be at McKinley Memorial Gardens of Winamac. Memorial donations may be made to Gideon’s International and/or Bashor Children’s Home, P.O. Box 843, Goshen, IN. 46527 Arlene J. GutweinJanuary 27, 1931 to March 21, 2013 FRANCESVILLE - Arlene June Gutwein, 82, Medaryville, passed away at 3:15 a.m., Thursday, March 21, at her residence. She was born Jan. 27, 1931, in Francesville, to Ernest E. and Sylvia Malchow Smith. She married Adam Jacob Gutwein on Nov. 26, 1950 in Francesville. He survives.
She was preceded in death by one sister Paulina Smith and one brother Richard Smith. Mrs. Gutwein was a member of the First Baptist Church in Francesville. She was active in the children and youth ministries of the church. She enjoyed serving others. She was devoted to her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m., Sunday, at the First Baptist Church, Francesville, and one hour prior to the services Monday at the church. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday (March 25), at the church, with Pastor Dennis Gutwein and Roger Cryan officiating.
Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Fund or the First Baptist Church Youth Fund. Betty L. KoscherJuly 11, 1934 to March 16, 2013 WINAMAC - Betty Louise Koscher, 78, of Chicago, passed away Saturday, March 16, at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She was born July 11, 1934, in Star City, to the late Inman and Pauline W. Walter Bird.
Preceded in death by: Mrs. Koscher was born and raised in the Winamac area. She was a former resident of the Knox and Bass Lake area before moving to Chicago in 1959. She was a 1952 graduate of Winamac High School and had attended Truman College in Chicago. She was a legal secretary for various Chicago law firms over her career. She had formerly attended the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, going to movies, music, and reading books Friends may call after 11 a.m., Saturday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac .A celebration of life service will follow at 1 p.m., (Saturday, May 11), at the funeral home.
