4-H members gain valuable leadership, citizenship, and communication skills by learning how to work with others, serving their local communities, and participating in 4-H activities.
Anyone needing assistance or having questions may contact the Extension Office at (574) 946-3412. There is a $15 state program fee for each 4-H member to enroll in 4-H, with a maximum of $45 per family. Kindergarten through second grade members are free.
National 4-H Week will be the week of Oct. 7. Help celebrate and show support for 4-H by participating in the week’s fun activities:
- Oct. 7 - Wear Green for 4-H
- Oct. 8 - Share your 4-H Story with a friend
- Oct. 9 - Thank your 4-H Volunteers
- Oct. 10 - Do a Community Service Activity
- Oct. 11 - Join 4-H for the 2025 4-H Program Year
Follow the local Facebook page at Purdue Extension-Pulaski County. It will have daily posts during the week for you to comment and be entered into a drawing at the end of the week for some 4-H swag.
The 4-H program is administered through the Pulaski County Extension Office located on 125 S. Riverside Dr. in Winamac, and the staff may be reached for questions at 574-946-3412. The Pulaski County Extension Office is open from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
