WINAMAC – The Pulaski Health Foundation, Inc. has announced plans to move forward in the Development of assisted living and memory care services for Pulaski County. The project may Include construction of a new facility to house these services

The health care needs of Pulaski County residents are changing, and Pulaski Health Foundation is working to anticipate and meet those needs,” said Health Foundation president Scott Fritz. “Our Pulaski Health Care Center is widely recognized for the excellent care its residents received, and we plan to continue to provide that high standard of care to an ever-expanding market.”

Experts shared best practices for out-working and out-innovating competition-

INDIANAPOLIS - Congressman Joe Donnelly hosted "Playing to Win: Indiana’s Future as America’s Manufacturing Leader," Monday, a summit that brought together leaders in the manufacturing sector from across the state of Indiana to share ideas and best practices for out-working and out-innovating the competition.

“I am confident that Indiana will maintain its status as a robust manufacturing hub of the United States, but to succeed, we need to ensure our manufacturers have the tools they need to compete,” said Donnelly. “We must provide our students with the skills manufacturers are seeking and enable innovation through incentives. And we must level the playing field for American companies, because we know that we can win a fair fight. The question is how to go about this, and that is why I called this summit of many of our state’s manufacturing leaders, from automakers to medical device manufacturers, educators to entrepreneurs, to discuss how to best position Indiana for the manufacturing economy of the future.”

A group of local residents traveled to Haiti in January to help with the continuing releif efforts in that island nation as the residents there continue to recover and rebuild following the devastating January 2010 earthquake.

The local group worked with the New Vision Ministries that had earlier begun providing eye care to Haitians. But since the earthquake, the program has been providing so much more, including other medical care, food, shelter, clothing, and love to as many as possible.
