The incident began Monday night when Pulaski Sherriff's Deputy Ryan Austin stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of CR 700 W and CR 500 S. The car's passenger, later identified as Warren, immediately exited the vehicle and fled on foot into the darkness, according to Sheriff Mike Gayer.
The driver, Mayhill, was taken into custody and arrested for possession of methamphetamine.
A hunt for Warren, using K-9s was eventually called off at 1:30 a.m. The next morning, a broken window was discovered at 7:48 a.m., at Paul's Chapel Church, located at 6513 W CR 560 S. When deputies arrived, a subject matching Warren's description fled into a nearby woods.
A second manhunt consisting of officers from the Logansport police, Cass County sheriff's department, Monticello police, White County sheriff's department, Monon town marshall's office, Indiana Department of Natural Resources and the Indiana State Police began. K-9s and a state police helicopter from Indianapolis were used during the search which lasted until 3 p.m.
Finally, at 6 p.m., officers received new information on Warren's location and he was taken into custody without incident.
Warren was wanted in Pulaski and White counties on numerous felony charges, mostly involving drug activity.
