WINAMAC - Daniel Schmicker, 53, of Buffalo, passed away Saturday, July 22, in Goshen.

He was born Oct. 19, 1969 in Winamac to  the late Robert Louis “Bob” and Mildred Barbara Weaver Schmicker.

Mr. Schmicker worked as a maintenance technician at the Winamac Fish and Wildlife Area. He was the owner of the Paul Bunyan Tree Service. He grew up and worked on the Schmicker family farm for many years. He loved to work in his garden. He enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing. He lived on the river and spent many hours enjoying time by and on the water. He was always there to help family, friends and neighbors in need. He loved to cook and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, July 28, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. A private funeral service will be held. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Winamac.
