WINAMAC - Karen E. Bane, 49, of Winamac (formerly of Westville), passed away Tuesday, Oct. 19, at Northwest Health Porter Hospital in Valparaiso.

She was born June 22, 1972 in Philadelphia, MS.

Ms. Bane worked as a correctional officer at Westville Correctional Facility for many years. She enjoyed woodworking and fishing. She will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition) in Winamac.
