WINAMAC - Rev. Robert William Van Ness, 95, of Star City, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 20, surrounded by loved ones.

He was born Oct. 15, 1926 in Elwood, to the late Forrest Sr. and Pauline Lambertson Van Ness. He married Thelma Irene Groce, who preceded him in death.

9 Great-Grandchildren: Landon, Kevin, Sara, Dani, Jaden, Dean, Kenny, Samantha, and Killian

Rev. Van Ness served as a pastor for many years and worked at Chrysler in New Castle. He enjoyed visiting with people and never knew a stranger. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His grandchildren were his ultimate joy. He will be forever missed.

No services will be scheduled.
