Elizabeth A. Wallace

WINAMAC - Elizabeth A. “Betty” Wallace, 82, of Winamac, passed away at 3:40 p.m., Saturday, July 17, at her home.
She was born Nov. 9, 1938 in Winamac to the late Clement A. and Bernice B. Kuhn Braun. She graduated from Winamac High School in 1957. On Sept. 18, 1982, she married Walter G. “Walt” Wallace at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Winamac. He passed away June 20, 2020.

Mrs. Wallace was retired from Pulaski Memorial Hospital where she had worked as a cook for 28 years. She was an active member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church as well as the Ladies of Charity and Christian Mothers. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, Pulaski Memorial Auxiliary, Eagle’s Auxiliary, and American Legion Auxiliary. She was a volunteer and board member of Pulaski County Human Services and enjoyed spending time at the Von Tobel Senior Center. She also enjoyed gardening and bird watching. She loved her family very much. She especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be from4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 20, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. A scriptural wake service will follow at 8 p.m., with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman officiating, followed by a Ladies of Charity and Christian Mothers service. A funeral mass will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 21, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Winamac, with Rev. Daniel Shine officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Winamac.
Memorial donations may be made to the Von Tobel Senior Center.
