Hilda H. Beiswanger

July 29, 1916 to July 16, 2011

FRANCESVILLE - Hilda H. Beiswanger, 94, of Francesville, passed away at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 16, at Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer.

She was born July 29, 1916, in Francesville, to the late Jacob and Lizzie Wendt Malchow. She married Alfred Beiswanger on Sept. 7, 1931 in Francesville. He died on April 4, 1998. Hilda and Alfred had been married for 66 years.

Mrs. Beiswanger was a member of the St. James-Salem United Church of Christ in Francesville where she played the organ and piano for over 75 years. 
She had worked at the local grocery store for over 52 years before retiring in 2001. Hilda enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens as well as baking cookies for her family.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday (July 20), at the funeral home with Pastor David Jennys officiating. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery, Francesville.
