Roseann Ols

September 15, 1935 to May 6, 2021

WINAMAC - Roseann “Rosie” Ols, 85, of Winamac, passed away Thursday, May 6, at her home.

She was born Sept. 15, 1935 in Winamac to the late Charles and Margaret Gerner Hein. She graduated from Winamac High School. On Nov. 8, 1954, she married Chris E. Ols in Michigan City. He passed away July 24, 2007.

Mrs. Ols retired from Eaton Controls in Winamac. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Winamac and was an active member of the Christian Mothers and Ladies of Charity. She was also a member of Winamac Eagles #2580. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting as well as traveling (with her grandchildren). More than anything she loved her family very much and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 11, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. The rosary will be recited at 6 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by Christian Mothers and Ladies of Charity services. A funeral mass will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 12, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Winamac, with Rev. Andrew DeKeyser officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Winamac.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
