FRANCESVILLE - Robert Jeffrey “Jeff” Winstead Sr., 62, of Francesville, passed away at his home Tuesday, Nov. 24, following a long battle with cancer.

He was born Oct. 5, 1958 in Princeton, KY to Robert Smith and Mary Loyce Howton Winstead. The family moved to Northwestern Indiana when Jeff was a child. On Sept. 2, 2006 in Gatlinburg, TN, he married Kellie Austin. She survives.

Mr. Winstead and his wife met at the stone quarry south of Francesville and have been best friends ever since. He worked his entire life as a truck driver. He enjoyed working on trucks and spending time with his rescued animals. He loved his grandchildren very much.

No services will be held.

Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
