Shirley A. Foust Bonnell

October 18, 1935 to November 3, 2020

WINAMAC - Shirley Ann Foust Bonnell, 85, of Winamac, passed away at 11:23 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Franciscan Health Hospital in Lafayette.

She was born Oct. 18, 1935 in Star City, to the late Lorenza Jefferson and Golda Louise  “Goldie”Little Foust. She married Jay Lynn Bonnell on Aug. 25, 1989 in Winamac. He passed away Dec. 13, 2013.

Grandchildren: Dennis (Ashlee Miller) Fornelli, Keith Fornelli, Eric (Angela) Fornelli, Beth (Clay) Silence, Carrie (Justin) Caldwell, Nichole (Jordan) Walter, Lacey (Ryan) Nifong, Stacey (Matt) Smith, and Jake Denton.

Mrs. Bonnell owned her own painting and wallpapering business for many years. She also worked as a parts manager for Shepherd’s, Knebel’s, and Dobson’s car dealerships. She enjoyed riding her gator, spending time with her dog (Maddie), and family gatherings (especially the bonfires). Most of all, She loved her friends and family dearly and cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 8, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Due to COVID-19 concerns, the family will not be present to visit with guests; however, they encourage friends to come say farewell to Shirley. A private family graveside service will be held at Winamac Cemetery in Winamac, with Eugene Berg officiating. Burial will follow at the cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Pulaski Animal Center or Lion’s Club or Pulaski County Human Services Food Pantry.
