Steven F. Seifert

FORT WAYNE - Steven F. Seifert, 69, passed away Wednesday, June 1, at his home in Fort Wayne.

He was born in Fort Wayne to the late Thomas A. and N. Marvel Seifert.

Surviving are his son Steven Scott (Kristina) Seifert of Boggstown, daughters Jill M. (Kurt) Swaim of Frankfort, KY, Laura L. (Walter) Anderson of Goshen, companion, Patsy A. Pippenger, brother Gerald (Elaine) Seifert of Fort Wayne, sister Sue (Otis) Croy of Joliet, IL, 6 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson. 

Mr. Seifert worked as an urban planner in Elkhart, Allen, LaGrange, and Pulaski counties for 36 years and last worked for the Bonar group before retiring in 2005. He was a member of Indiana Rural Development Council and was governing board member for over 10 years. He was also a member of the Indiana Planning Association. He volunteered at Pulaski Memorial Hospital with the Auxiliary. He was president of the Pulaski County Plan Commission and board member of Pulaski County Human Services. He was the Veteran's Affairs Administration Officer for Winamac for several years.

A time of remembrance is at 4 p.m., Saturday (June 4), at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with calling from 12 noon until the service.

Memorials may be made to the Pulaski Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
