Jerry L. Scott

February 24, 1949 to December 29, 2019

WINAMAC - Jerry Lynn Scott, 70, of Pulaski, passed away at 9 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 29, at the home of his brother, David, in Winamac.

He was born Feb. 24, 1949 in Winamac, to the late Wilbur L. and Cletha F. Koepkey Scott.

Billy ( Cindy ) Scott, Pulaski, Brother and Sister-in-law
Carol Scott, Valparaiso, Sister-in-law
Lois Haring, Francesville, his “Special Lady” and her family
Several Nieces and Nephews

Mr. Scott had worked at Wilson Foods in Logansport, until the plant closed in 1994. He retired from BraunAbility in Winamac, in 2013. He enjoyed helping his friend Kenny with farm work. He was involved in Scouting as a boy. He attended the National Boy Scout Jamboree in Valley Forge, PA in 1964. He was a founding director of the Northern Indiana Power From the Past, Inc. and was an active participant in the saw mill crew at the annual shows. He was an avid antique collector. He enjoyed going to flea markets and auctions. He enjoyed travelling. He especially enjoyed going out east and to his property in Maine. He will be remembered for his annual Fourth-of-July celebrations with his family. He always enjoyed family gatherings and helping friends. He had a special place in his heart for dogs and many strays found their way to his home over the years.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 3, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. A memorial service will be be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 4, at the funeral home with Pastor Tod Masters officiating. Burial will be at Winamac Cemetery in Winamac.

Memorial donations may be made to Pulaski Health Care Center resident’s fund or Quilts of Valor.
