Frances E. Doty
December 30, 1940 to October 7, 2019
WINAMAC - Frances Ellen May Doty, 78, of Winamac, passed away at 2 a.m., Monday, Oct. 7, at Pulaski Health Care Center, Winamac.
She was born Dec. 31, 1940 in Lawton, IN to the late Harvey Leroy and Lillian May Olson Smith. She graduated from Monterey High School. On July 1, 1961, she married Carl Thomas Doty in Winamac. He survives.

Mrs. Doty was a charter member of the Winamac Church of the Nazarene. She loved her church family very much and faithfully supported the missions of the church. She was a talented musician who played the piano, organ and accordion. She provided music for several area churches, many weddings and funerals as well as Sunday services at a local nursing home. She also taught piano lessons for children at her home. She enjoyed cooking for others and collecting cookbooks. Most of all, she loved her family very much. She was a caregiver for her mother and also cared for her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Winamac Church of the Nazarene in Winamac; and from 1:30 ti 2:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 11, also at the church. The funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday (Oct. 11), at the church with Pastor Tanner Griffin officiating. Burial will be at Reed Cemetery in Winamac.
Memorial donations may be made to the Winamac Church of the Nazarene in Winamac.
