Mr. Davis was retired from Medaryville Youth Camp where he had worked as a custody supervisor. He was a race car driver in his younger years and loved to tell stories about his prized cars and wins. He was a great story teller and an even better joker. He loved to golf, gamble, work in his shop, and collect mowers. His was a life-long Cubs fan and very proud to see their World Series Win. He had an appreciation for junk yards, yard sales, auctions, and any good deal which is evidenced by his prized yard art. In his later years, he developed a fear of railroad tracks. More importantly, he loved his friends and family and was so appreciative of the time he spent with them.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 8, at the First Christian Church, Francesville, with Pastor James Ketchen officiating. The American Legion will conduct military honors at the church following services.
