WINAMAC - Nellie J. Minix, 82, of Winamac, passed away peacefuly at 3:25 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac

She was born Nov. 7, 1936, in Winamac to the late Orval A. and Grace H. Brown Thompson. On Feb. 27, 2003, she married Lacy Minix. He survives.

Mrs. Minix grew up in Beardstown, Pulaski and Star City. She was a proud homemaker and mother, raising her daughter, Grace, in Winamac. She worked 20 years in housekeeping at Pulaski Memorial Hospital. In 2014, she moved into Pulaski Health Care Center. Before moving, she attended Word of Faith Church and was a former member of the Assembly of God Church in Winamac. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and doing word finds. Most of all, she enjoyed reading the Bible. She was devoted to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 23, at Word of Faith Church, Winamac. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. (Saturday), at the church with Rev. Bobby Board officiating. Private burial will be at Winamac Cemetery, Winamac.
