January 21, 1946 to February 9, 2019

WHEATFIELD - Wayne "Butch" Stalbaum, 73, of Medaryville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, at his home with loving family around him.

He was born Jan. 21, 1946, in Jasper County, to  the late Raymond L. and Betty E. Williams Stalbaum. He graduated from Tefft High School and married Betty L. Risner on June 27, 1964 in Tefft. She survives.

Also surviving are:
Children: Raymond ‘Butchie’ (Bobbi) Stalbaum and Janet (James) Derflinger.
6 grandchildren: Derrick (Abbie) Stalbaum, Kia (Rodney) Farman, Devin Stalbaum, Wesley Derflinger, Dakota Stalbaum, and Darian Stalbaum.
2 great-grandchildren: Kennedy and Madison Stalbaum.
Siblings: Bonnie (Jerry) Metts, Larry (Sharon) Stalbaum, and Russel (special friend Kharon) Stalbaum.
Sister-in-law: Sharon R. Stalbaum
Many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Stalbaum and Jack Stalbaum; and sister-in-law Lisa Stalbaum.

Mr. Stalbaum worked at Thermo Products, and was a farmer. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and his cows.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. (ET), Thursday, Feb. 14, at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 15, at the Medaryville Christian Church with Pastor Don Nedza officiating. Interment will follow at the San Pierre Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital.
