Peter E. Bedoian

WINAMAC - Peter Edward "Pete" Bedoian, 86, of Hendersonville, NC (formerly of Lowell) passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, at Carolina Village in Hendersonville.
A native of Chicago, he was the son of the late Israel and Anna Kaminski Bedoian. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954 during the Korean War and was stationed in Iceland. On Nov. 16, 1957, he married his wife of 54 years, Diane C. Marse. She passed away Sept. 1, 2012.

7 grandchildren: Jacquelyn (Zach) Jeanes, Nicholas (Caroline) Williams, Steven Wagner, Micayla Bedoian, Jenna Langen, Alyssa Wagner and Cyrena Bedoian.
2 great-grandchildren: Ella June Jeanes and Cameron Kai Williams.
3 brothers: John (Judy) Bedoian, Charlie Bedoian and Bob (Pat) Bedoian.

The Bedoians raised their family in Lowell for 30 years before moving to Saluda, NC in 1996. They had also resided in Calumet Park, IL and Blue Island, IL. Mr. Bedoian retired from Linde Air Products in East Chicago. In retirement, he worked at Langen Realty in Lowell; Carquest in Hendersonville; and Camp Green Cove & Camp Mondamin in Zirconia, NC. He was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Lowell. He was also a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hendersonville where he volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of Knights of Columbus in Lowell and Youche Country Club in Crown Point. He had formerly served as a Cedar Creek Township Trustee in Lake County. He enjoyed playing golf and playing the accordion. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed.
A memorial mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 22, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hendersonville, NC with Rev. Praveen Turaka officiating.
A second memorial mass will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 25, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Winamac, with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery, Winamac. The American Legion and VFW will conduct military graveside services.
Immediately following burial, a celebration of life service will be held at the Winamac First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the donor's favorite charity in Mr. Bedoian's honor.
