MEDARYVILLE - Ruth Elaine Stout Oliver, 79, of Valparaiso, formerly of Medaryville and Chesterton, passed away peacefully at 7:21 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Golden Living Center, where she had resided the past eight years.

She was born June 11, 1939 in Medaryville to the late Berl and Merl Stotler Stout, and raised by her uncle and aunt, the late W. Dale and Emma Stout.

She is survived by:

Mark (Sherry) Stout, Star City, IN Brother 
Devon Stout, Star City, IN Brother 
Elverta Moore, Rochester, IN Sister

Several Nieces and Nephews

Mrs. Stout was a proud homemaker, a beautiful pianist and a devout Christian. She was a church pianist and choir director. She enjoyed baking and cooking, as well as gardening and canning. Her purpose in life and reason for living was her family. She will be sadly missed.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 8, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Medaryville, with Pastor Roger Ash officiating. Burial will be at White Post Cemetery, Medaryville.
