WINAMAC - David J. Winters, 53, of Monterey (formerly of Lansing, IL), passed away at 7:36 p.m., Monday, Nov. 12, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.

He was born Aug. 7, 1965 in Hammond, to Frank L. and Joan L. Natke Winters. He was baptized at St. Victor's Catholic Church in Calumet City, and graduated from Lansing High School in Lansing, IL.

Mr. Winters had worked many years as a stock boy at Jewel-Osco in Munster. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He also enjoyed fishing. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.

A memorial mass will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Monterey, with Rev. Michael McKinney officiating. Final disposition will be private at St. Peter's Cemetery, Winamac.
