Richard E. Bushman

July 14, 1936 to May 8, 2018

FRANCESVILLE- Richard Eugene Bushman, 81, of Flora (formerly of Francesville), passed away at 7:05 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, at Mulberry Health, Mulberry, IN.

He was born July 14, 1936 in Francesville to the late Ernest E. and Mary G. Rogers Bushman. After graduating from high school, he farmed with his father and was later drafted into the U.S. Army. On April 3, 1960, he married Hazel Irene Crowe in Decatur, IL. She survives.

2 Great Grandchildren: Noah and Addilyn

Mr. Bushman was an active member of Paul's Chapel Church, rural Winamac, and enjoyed Sundays spent with his family at church. He was a lifelong farmer and owner/operator of Bushman Sales and Service in Francesville. In his later years, he did small engine repair at Coast-to-Coast in Winamac. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, gardening, and bird watching. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, May 13, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Monday, May 14, at Paul's Chapel Church with Pastor Phillip Messer officiating. Burial will be at Paul's Chapel Cemetery, Winamac. The American Legion will conduct military graveside services.
