As a young woman, Mrs. Reed worked at Matilda's Cafe in Winamac and spent many years taking care of elderly people in their homes. She enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and baking. She also enjoyed playing and listening to music, especially playing the organ. She enjoyed shopping and spending time at the Von Tobel Senior Center. She was an avid Euchre player and IU Basketball and NASCAR fan. The greatest joy in her life was her family (and her two dachshunds, Shadow and Sparky). Whether it was spending time in the living room listening to her kids play music or spending time with her grandchildren, she was most in her element when she was surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 15, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac; and one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 16, at the funeral home with Wayne Balmer officiating. Burial will be at Winamac Cemetery, Winamac.
Memorial donations may be made to the Von Tobel Senior Center, Winamac.
