Glen A. Ward

April 24, 1940 to October 8, 2017

ROYAL CENTER - Glen A. Ward, 77, of Thornhope passed away peacefully at 1:58 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 8, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 24, 1940 in Dorothy, W. Va., he was the son of the late Henry and Mamie (White) Ward. He was a U.S. Army veteran. On Oct. 24, 1999 he married Marlene Frye. She survives.

Also surviving are brothers, Dean Ward of Crown Point and Marvin Ward (Linda) of Tennessee; sisters, Babe Kopaczewski of Crown Point and Carol Wolf (Tom) of California; and the son he never had, Randy St. Denis of Thornhope.  He is also survived by his beloved pets, Gracie the cat, Haley the chicken and Jade the dog.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Enal Cantly, Opal Fraze and Bernease Stonebraker.

Mr. Ward retired in 2004 from Winamac Coil Spring, Kewanna. He was a member of the Logansport Church of the Nazarene, American Legion and the V.F.W.  He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and mushroom hunting.

A celebration of Mr. Ward's life and military rites will be conducted at 7p.m., Thursday, Oct. 12, at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with visitation from 5 p.m. until the time of the service.
