Judith A. Cosgray

October 25, 1934 to September 6, 2017

ROYAL CENTER - Judith A. “Judy” Cosgray, 82, of Buffalo passed away peacefully at 4:55 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 6, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on Oct. 25, 1934 in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Lanz) Tieman. She was a Pulaski High School graduate Class of 1952. On Jan. 14, 1956, she married Leroy C. Cosgray.  He preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 2013.

Survivors include her children, Steven L. Cosgray and wife Joy of Buffalo, Mitchell L. Cosgray and wife DeeAnn of Monticello and Sheryl A. Jones and husband Troy of San Tan, Ariz.; sister, Betty Ploss and husband Oscar of Headlee; grandchildren, Megan Haupert (Chad), Seth Cosgray, Kelsey Stetler (Corey), Allyson Cheever (John), Quentin Jones, Kaitlyn Bunch (Levi), Brant Jones (fiancé, Courtney Cazarez) and Hannah Cosgray and great grandchildren, Kinley and Olivia Bunch, Hadley and Brooklyn Stetler and Grayson Haupert.

She was preceded in death by sister, Barbara Crist.

Mrs. Cosgray owned and operated Judy’s Beauty Shop in Buffalo for over 58 years. She was a member of Buffalo Christian Church where she also taught Sunday School through the years. She was also a past member of the Tri Kappa Zeta RHO Chapter in Monon and the White County Historical Society. She was the former chairman of the Buffalo Centennial Celebration and a founding member of the North White Athletic Boosters. She enjoyed gardening, refinishing furniture, camping and, most of all, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 10, at Buffalo Christian Church. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Monday. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 11, at the church with Evangelist Tom Haynie officiating. Burial will be at Hughes Cemetery, Monticello.

Memorial donations may be made to Buffalo Christian Church and/or the Liberty Township Park in Buffalo.
