FRANCESVILLE - Carolyn Jo Markin, 73, of 228 N. Brown St., Francesville, passed away at 12:15 p.m., Monday, Feb. 22, at her residence in Francesville.
She was born May 15, 1936, in LaPorte, to Ralph and Alma Shankland Hoover. She married Donald Markin on May 15, 1955 in Winamac. He survives.

Mrs. Markin was a homemaker. She had worked as a cook in Francesville. She also worked as a sales clerk at the lumber yard and at the Cooperative Elevator in Francesville. She had been an Avon sales representative. She was a member of the Francesville First Christian Church. She had also been a member of the VFW Auxillary in Logansport.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel-Francesville. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday (Feb 25), at the funeral home with Pastor James Ketchen officiating. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery, Francesville.
Memorial donations may be given to Francesville First Christian Church or the Humanitarian Distribution Center.
