Alma M. Long

April 15, 1929 to January 20, 2011

FRANCESVILLE - Alma M. Long, 81, of 11110 West 1000 South, Monon, passed away at 11:10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 20, at Monticello Assisted Living & Healthcare, Monticello.

She was born April 15, 1929 in Cincinnati, to the late Roscoe and Vera Leigh Gasteneau. She married Bill Long on June 11, 1949 at the Methodist Church in Francesville. He survives.

Mrs. Long was a member of the St. James-Salem United Church of Christ where she sang in the choir and was a part of the St. James Salem Guild. She had taught Sunday School at the Methodist Church for many years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Colonial Dames.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday (Jan. 24), at St. James-Salem United Church of Christ,
Francesville. The officiating clergy will be Pastor Jeff Messer. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery, Francesville.
