First and foremost, Mrs. Siemens was a devoted wife, loving mother, and doting grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family meant everything to her, and she meant the world to them. Outside of the home, she continued to support her husband by acting as his partner-in-service in the Medaryville Lions Club and working as a secretary at Siemens Insurance Agency. She also worked as a volunteer with the Medaryville Potato Fest. In addition, she continued to show her love to her children by assisting in 4-H projects, caring for her grandchildren before they went to school, and supporting each family member in every endeavor they pursued. To quote one of her favorite songs, she was the wind beneath her family's wings.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 14, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Medaryville. A Lion's memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Monday night at the funeral home. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov.15, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor James Ketchen officiating. Burial will be at Bowman-White Post Cemetery, Francesville.
