MONTICELLO - Michael R. "Mike" Lucas, 66, Francesville (formerly of Buffalo area), passed away at 6:30 a.m., Thursday, June 9, from a house fire at his home.

He was born March 9, 1950, in Winamac to Alda Jane McKillip Lucas, and the late Raymond Lucas.

Surviving are daughter, Amy (Greg) Allen, Logansport; son, Travis (Tracie) Lucas, Lafayette; grandchildren, Alexis Lucas, Emily Allen, Hannah Allen, Katie Lucas, Kyrin Lucas, and Gracen Lucas; one great-granddaughter, Amelia Lucas; mother, Alda Jane Lucas, Buffalo; brothers, Rick (Beverly) Lucas, Monon, and Scott (Pam) Lucas, Hilton, Va.

He was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents, Louis and Gladys Lucas.

Mr. Lucas had lived in Francesville for the last 20 years, moving from the Buffalo area. He was a graduate of Pioneer High School of Royal Center. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1971. He drove a semi-truck most all his life.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, July 9, at the Miller–Roscka Funeral Home, Monticello. A memorial Celebration of Life service will follow at 2 p.m., at the funeral home with Pastor Doug McCombs officiating. Burial will be private for the family.
