WINAMAC - Constance Lee "Connie" Haniford, 68, of Winamac, passed away at 6:22  p.m., Tuesday, July 5, at home. 

She was born Aug. 15, 1947 in South Bend, to the late Max Welton and Vivian Marie Buzzbee Hile. She married Roger Alan Haniford. He survives.

Mrs. Haniford received her master's degrees in fine arts from Indiana University in 1974 and a master's degree in elementary education in 1976. She received her master's degree in administration and supervision from Purdue University in 1986. She taught in the Bloomington, Cedar Lake, Gary, and Knox school districts. She worked at Knox as an elementary school principal from 1990-2005. She was a gifted artist who also loved fishing, gardening, and time spent with family.

As per Mrs. Haniford’s wishes there will be no services.

Memorial donations may be given to Pulaski Animal Center.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Frain Mortuary, Winamac.
