Charles H. Hoffman
January 31, 1933 to March 29, 2016
FOWLER - Charles Harold Hoffman, 83, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Fowler, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 29, at his home.
Born Jan. 31, 1933 in Pulaski County to the late Charlie and Nellie (St. Clair) Hoffman. He married Klovetta Kesler on Nov. 25, 1956.
Surviving are three children, Roxanne (Larry) Kline of Clive, IA, Judy (Mark) Amsler of Monticello, and Michael (Joyce Gretencord) Hoffman of West Lafayette. He is also survived by two brothers, Bob (Marcella) Hoffman of San Pierre and Jim (Patty) Hoffman of Winamac, and two sisters, Donna Meyer St. Clair, of Winamac, and Alice Thurston, of Fowler. He also leaves behind a very special friend, Tess Leeper, of Bradenton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Klovetta, and a brother, Keith.
Mr. Hoffman graduated from Monon High School, went to Purdue University, and was a proud veteran of the Korean War. He loved the farm, playing cards, and a good joke. His proudest accomplishment was his seven grandchildren, one great grandson, and a great granddaughter on the way. He taught his family the value of hard work, how to laugh at a good joke, and win at cards.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, April 2, at Windler Funeral Home, Fowler, with the funeral following at 11 a.m, officiated by Father Bob Klemme. Interment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette.
