Forrest C. Stone
November 21, 1925 to August 20, 2015
FRANCESVILLE - Forrest C. Stone, 89, Francesville, passed away at 5:01 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 20, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born Nov. 21, 1925 in rural Francesville to the late Clarence and Gertrude Pike Stone. On Dec. 29, 1946, he married Gwendolyn Cook in Monon. She passed away June 15, 2010.

Mr. Stone graduated from Francesville High School in 1943. He was a lifelong farmer in Pulaski County. Later in life, he enjoyed buying, selling, and refinishing antiques.He was an active member of the Francesville United Methodist Church where he served on the church board for many years. He was a Chicago Cubs and Purdue Boilermakers fan. He was a longtime member of the John Purdue Club, Golden Jacket Club and the Coach's Club.
Mr. Stone was also a longtime member of the Francesville Lion's Club and a 50-year member of the Winamac Masonic Lodge #262 F&AM (formerly Monong Lodge of Francesville). He served on the Francesville Salem Township Library board. He was an avid golfer and very proudly achieved a hole-in-one at Curtis Creek Golf Course when he was 64. He was also an avid hunter. He enjoyed boating and water skiing. He taught countless kids how to ski over the years. He enjoyed traveling with his wife. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday,at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 24, at the funeral home with Pastor Hal Cohn officiating. Burial will be at Roseland Cemetery, Francesville.
Memorial donations may be given to Francesville United Methodist Church.
