FRANCESVILLE - Carroll J. Messer, 83, of Francesville, passed away at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Parkview Haven Retirement Home, Francesville.

He was born April 10, 1931 in Peoria, IL to the late Paul Ernest and Nathalia Stoller Messer. He married Annabelle L. Yaggie on Oct. 22, 1958 in Francesville. She survives.

Maurice Messer, Brother

Mr. Messer lived most of his life in Francesville and was a former resident of Southern California. He had been a school bus driver for the Bear Valley Unified School District in Big Bear Lake, CA,  retiring after 17 years. He also was a bulk gas delivery driver in California. Hel was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Francesville. He served as a medic in the U.S. Army in Korea during the Korean Conflict.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville, and one hour prior to services at the church Tuesday. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 6, at the Apostolic Christian Church, Francesville, with the ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be at Roseland Cemetery, Francesville.
