Audrey J. DeArmond
September 4, 1932 to November 12, 2014
WINAMAC - Audrey Jean DeArmond, 82, of Winamac, passed away at 10:05 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Hickory Creek in Winamac.
She was born Sept. 4, 1932 in Chicago, to Edward and Gertrude Novak Campbell. She married James DeArmond on Jan. 9, 1954. He survives.

Mrs. DeArmond grew up on the south side of Chicago and graduated from Hammond High School. She was a longtime U.S. Postal Service employee and a retired Postmaster from St. John, IN. TheDeArmonds were longtime residents of Crown Point, and moved to Winamac in 1997. They enjoyed traveling and especially enjoyed touring Africa. Mrs. DeArmond was an avid swimmer and a former swim instructor. She loved the outdoors, especially riding horses, camping, and fishing. She was well known for her excellent cooking. She loved her family very much. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 16, at the funeral home. Burial will be at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 17, at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond.
Memorial donations may be given to Humane Society or the Pulaski Animal Control.
