Mark D. Jordan

May 18, 1947 to August 26, 2014

MONTICELLO - Mark D. Jordan, 67, Monticello (Buffalo area), died at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at his home.

He was born May 18, 1947 to the late Alfred G. and M. Fern (Baker) Jordan. On Nov. 20, 1971 in Pauls Chapel Church in Pulaski County, he married Pamela K. "Pam" Roberts. She survives.

Also surviving are daughters, Melissa "Missy" Jordan-Allen, Monticello (Buffalo area), Angie (Scott) Williams, Reynolds; son, Ryan Jordan, Monticello; four grandchildren; siblings, Joyce (Joseph) Cummingham, Ohio, James "Jim" (Delilah) Jordan, Francesville, William "Bill" (Ruth) Jordan, Illinois, Judy (Jake) Hoffman, Winamac, David (Kathi) Jordan, Francesville; brother-in-law, Kevin Roberts, Reynolds; sister-in-law, Susan G. Roberts, Buffalo; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, William "Bud" and Betty (Shields) Roberts; infant sister, Janice Jordan; brother, Stanley Jordan; sisters-in-law, Debbie Roberts and Myra Jordan; and brothers-in-law, John I. Roberts and David Roberts.

Mr. Jordan lived in the Buffalo area most of his life, growing up in Pulaski County. He was a 1965 graduate of Francesville High School in Francesville.He bought a dairy farm in rural Buffalo where he worked and lived for several years. He was a member of Pauls Chapel Church and attended Tippecanoe Christian Church both of rural Pulaski County. He was an amazing tree trimmer and enjoyed gardening.   

Gathering of family and friends will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. Saturday, at the Miller-Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello. A memorial celebration of life service will follow at 3 p.m., (Saturday, Aug. 30)  at the funeral home with Pastor Charles G. Roberts of Calvary Temple of Monticello officiating. Burial with full military rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard will take place at Hughes Cemetery in rural Monticello.

Memorials may be given to the family.
