Dora M. Risner

December 6, 1915 to August 7, 2014

MEDARYVILLE - Dora M. Risner, 98, of North Judson, passed away at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 7, at Miller's Merry Manor, Culver.

She was born Dec. 6, 1915 in Carver, KY to the late Leander and Minnie Marshall Jackson. She married Fred Risner on Dec. 24, 1932, in Knox. He passed away in February 1969.

Mrs. Risner was a member of the Medaryville Christian Church, where she had taught Sunday School and had been active in the Ladies Aid. She was also a former 4-H Leader in Cass Township. She was a loving wife and mother. She was a very hard worker. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, canning, and sewing. Throughout her lifetime, she had also worked at Kingsbury Ordinance Plant and as an aid in numerous health care facilities. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Medaryville; and one hour prior to services at the church Monday. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Monday (Aug. 11), at Medaryville Christian Church, Medaryville, with Don Nedza officiating. Burial will be at White Post Cemetery, Medaryville.

Memorial donations may be given to Medaryville Christian Church or Gideon's International.
