WINAMAC - A memorial service has been announced for Robert Wayne Geddes, 94, of Celeste, TX, formerly of Winamac, who passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 28, at Star City West Cemetery, Star City, with Rev. Edward Clark officiating. A gathering for family and friends will follow at the Star City Community Building.

Mr. Geddes was born Dec. 29, 1918, in Rockford, IL, to the late Robert and Lyle Geddes. He married Barbara Jean Evans on April 24, 1953, in Logansport. She passed away on Dec. 8, 1990.

Mr. Geddes was a member of the Professional Rodeo Association. He was a longtime resident of Winamac, moving to Texas in 1999. He was a retired truck driver and formerly worked at Galbreath Inc. He was a saddle maker and worked with leather.
