KNOX - Jean "Lois" Hatfield, 67, of Monterey, passed away Wednesday, March 12, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

She was born Jan. 1, 1947 in Ober, Ind. to Bill and Nora Davis Pitts, both deceased.

She is survived by her husband, Curt Hatfield, her children, Allen White of Kewanna, Kelli Wildermuth (Jeremy) of Winamac, Marci Oliveira (Rene) of Rockport, TX, a step daughter, Christina Rose (Barry) of Rochester, sisters and brothers, Thelma Smith, Maudie Eberhardt (Jeff), Cindy Myers (George), Lisa Miller (Don), Les Pitts, and JC Pitts, three grandchildren and four step grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by five brothers.

Mrs. Hatfield has worked for many years for Pulaski County Human Services as a Head Start teacher, and most recently as the transportation coordinator. 

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. (CDT), Friday (March 21), at M.C. Smith Funeral Home, Knox. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. (CDT), Saturday (March 22), at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox.
