David D. Rusk

September 25, 1952 to February 18, 2014

FRANCESVILLE - David D. Rusk, 61, of Francesville, passed away at 9 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18, at his residence.

He was born on Sept. 25, 1952 in Francesville to Harold H. and Lucile M. Biggs Rusk. On Sept. 17, 1994, he married Linda K. Tiede in Francesville. She survives.

David attended Rensselaer Central High School and later received his GED while serving in the US Army. He furthered his education at Ivy Tech and received an associate’s degree. David was currently studying at Liberty University working towards a bachelor's degree.

David served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a proud life member and chaplain of the DAV Chapter #27 in Lafayette, IN. David worked as assistant chaplain at the Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette, IN. David and Linda were faithful volunteers and also attended Sunday church services at the Indiana Veterans Home. David enjoyed golfing, especially with his friends at Moss Creek Golf Club. He enjoyed gardening and canning as well as taking trips in the RV with Linda. David loved his yorkies Sassy, Gracie, and Bridget. David was a loving husband and brother. He will be dearly missed.

Graveside Services will be held at 11 AM EST Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Roseland Cemetery, Francesville, with Chaplain David Hess officiating.

Burial will take place in Roseland Cemetery, Francesville, IN. The American Legion will conduct Military Graveside Services.

Memorial Contributions may be given to the family.
