James A. Smith
October 1, 1937 to February 6, 2014
WINAMAC - James A. "Jim" Smith, 76, of Culver, passed away at 5:33 a.m., Thurday, Feb. 6, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
He was born Oct. 1, 1937, in Monterey, to the late Richard Albert “Dick” and Blanche Forsythe Smith.

Mr. Smith served in the U.S. Army during Korea and retired in 2002 from the Indiana National Guard. He was a former member of the American Legion Post #399 in Monterey. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m., to 2 p.m., Monday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The ffuneral service will follow at 2 p.m., (Monday, Feb. 10), at the funeral home with Rev. Nancy Foster officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Cemetery, Monterey. The American Legion will conduct military graveside services.
Memorial donations may be given to American Legion Post #399 or the charity of the donor’s choice.
