Mildred M. Spenner
August 5, 1909 to December 26, 2013
WINAMAC - Mildred M. Spenner, 104, of Indianapolis, formerly of Medaryville, passed away at 6:20 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 26, at her daughter’s home.
She was born Aug. 5, 1909, in Medaryville, to the late Charles and Hanna Schultz. She married Otto C. Spenner on Feb. 23, 1929 in North Judson. He died April 11, 1988.

Mrs. Spenner was a former Medaryville resident. She had lived on the same farm for over 98 years. Her family came to Medaryville from Kankakee, IL where her father ran a clothing store. She moved to Indianpolis six years ago to stay with her daughter. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Medaryville. She also served as a Sunday School teacher and was member of the Ladies Society. She graduated from Medaryville High School. She loved making quilts, gardening, fishing and traveling in her camper.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., (Monday, Dec. 30), at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Woodley officiating. Burial will be at McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac.
Memorial donations may be given to Medaryville park to purchase a bench in her honor.
