Lynne K. Burton

October 16, 1948 to November 20, 2013

WINAMAC - Lynne K. Burton, 65, of Newnan, GA, formerly of Winamac, passed away at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20, at her residence.

She was born Oct. 16, 1948, in Gary, to Floyd and Irene Call Frazier. She married Alan Burton on July 13, 1974, in Merrillville. He passed away on Sept. 18, 2001.

Mrs. Burton was a third grade teacher at Eastern Pulaski Elementary School in Winamac, before having children in 1977. Prior to her stroke, she enjoyed baking and sewing. She loved to laugh, drink a good glass of wine, and enjoy time with friends and family. She lived most of her life in Winamac, moving to live with her daughter Dawn in 2005. She enjoyed traveling with her daughters and spending time with her grandchilren. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Winamac, and the Council for the Prevention of Child Abuse.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m., Sunday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac; and one hour before the service Monday in the church. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday (Nov. 25), at First United Methodist Church, Winamac, with Rev. Matt Landry officiating. Burial will be in Winamac Cemetery, Winamac.

Memorial donations may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project or Pulaski Animal Control.
