MEDARYVILLE - Bertha Fugate, 79, of Francesville (formerly of Medaryville), passed away at 8:50 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 14, at Parkview Haven Retirement Home, Francesville.

She was born Oct. 14, 1934 in Salyersville, KY to the late Tony and Sarah Jordan Trusty. 

Survivors include:

Ronald R. (Mandy) Trusty, Sr., Medaryville, Son 
James L. (Diane) Fugate, Northville, MN, Son 
William "Bill" Woosley, Pennsylvania, Son 
8 Grandchildren 
3 Great Grandchildren 
Lillie Mae Shepherd, North Judson, Sister 
Helen Hopkins, North Judson, Sister 

Preceded in death by:  
Lottie McCarty, Sister 
Earl Trusty, Brother

Mrs. Fugate was a retired CNA and had worked at the Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette for 13 years. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She loved her dogs, Dutches and Casper. She was a caring Christian woman. She enjoyed attending Bailey's Corner Church. 

Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m., Saturday, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Medaryville. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m., (Saturday, Nov. 16), at the funeral home with Pastor Ed Trusty officiating. Private burial will be in Denham Cemetery, Denham.

Memorial donations may be given to to the funeral home to help cover funeral expenses.
