Over the years, Mrs.Blanton and her late husband Bud had farmed, and they also owned and operated a carnival as well as a sanitation company. In her later years, she worked at Peak Community Services. She enjoyed traveling and taking cruises to the Caribbean. She especially enjoyed her trip to France with Allen and her trip to Croatia with Byron and his family. Some of her fondest "road trips" were driving all over the United States in her semi-truck. She also enjoyed taking care of dogs as well as cooking. She was truly a free spirit and very fun to be around. To know her, was to love her. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., (Saturday, Oct. 12), at the funeral home with Rev. Bert Woolson officiating. Private burial be at a later date in Ora Cemetery.
