CULVER - Dorothy V. Mahler, 88, of Monterey, died at 7:41 p.m. Aug. 31, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.

She was born on Oct. 2, 1921 in Pulaski County to Clarence C. Doll and Marguerite L. Moncell. She married Ernest "Pete" Mahler on June 2, 1949 in Leiters Ford. He died July 26, 1987.

She is survived by a son, Greg Mahler of Monterey; daughters, Paulette (Richard) Hanna of Plymouth and Ginger (Keith) Shirley of Albuquerque, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Larry "Hammer" Mahler, and a brother, Clarence Doll Jr.

Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Odom Funeral Home, Culver. The funeral service will take place at 1:30 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 4), at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Cemetery, Monterey.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Arthritis Association.
